"Maybe I dreamed it al." Alex sighed.

June dunked her tea bag in her cup over and

over. "Alex, realy, you should buy some decent tea.

This stuff is like dishwater."

"I only use it when you come over. It's probably

been there for ages."

"Tea has a long shelf life," she said. "It's the

brand."

"Use two."

June got up from her chair at the table and

fetched another tea bag. "Why do you think you

dreamed it?"

"I don't know," Alex replied. He got up and

paced a little. "It's just al so weird. He promised to

come back tonight and it's after seven now. Maybe he's

crazy and—"

"But he knew about Mark." She looked at him.

"He said he saw him, and how could he have known

what you were doing that night when you were alone?"

Alex hadn't told her the masturbating in the

shower part. "I don't know."

"It's this spirit who intrigues me. Give me your

laptop."

Alex went into the living room to get it. He put it

down in front of her. "What are you going to do?"

"You said his name was Bily, right? This spirit

that latched onto you?" She opened up the computer

and turned it on. "What's your password?"

"Exhausted."

She raised an eyebrow then laughed. "Okay."

"If it's the same guy who had my job before, the

one that was murdered, it's Bily Conway."

"I'l try Wiliam," she said, typing into the

browser. "Hey, Alex, look at this."

Alex came to stand behind her.

"That's his picture. Nice looking guy. Sad. His

body was found in the river last summer. Says he went

missing in the winter, just didn't show up to work. The

rest is pretty…" She stood up. "You read it."

Alex sat down in front of the computer. The

face that looked back at him seemed to be looking right

at him.

The tortured and mutilated body of William

Conway was discovered on the banks of the Hudson

River by a dock on the 10th of July. Police estimate

that the body had been in the water for several

months and had probably been dumped there in

early spring. William "Billy" Conway was reported

missing last winter. He was well liked by his co-

workers and friends, and, according to statements,

didn't appear to have any enemies. Based on several

factors, the police have linked the crime to a series

of similar murders committed in the last few years

in the New York area and believe it to be the work

of a serial killer. The investigation is ongoing, and

the police have no leads on why the crime was

committed or the identity of the murderer. Anyone

with information concerning…

Alex took a breath and closed the computer.

"God," he said. He was shaking. "Terrance thinks that

Wes has been taken by the same guy." He turned and

looked at her. "I can't tel Danny this."

"No," June agreed. "But if there's any chance

there's something to this Terrance guy, maybe he can

help."

"I wish I had your faith," Alex said.

June came and put her arms around him. "You

have to believe in something."

Alex closed his eyes. "Where is he?"

June released him. "Cal him again."
